Major Events of CCBC

On February 5, 2015, ¡°New Year Salon of China-Chile Business Council¡± was successfully held in Beijing. Ms. Li Shaojun, Deputy Secretary General of CCIIP hosted the meeting. Mr. Andreas Pierotic, Commercial Counselor of Chilean Embassy and Mr. Francisco Mart¨ªnez Boluda, partner of Uria Menendez law office in Beijing attended the meeting and delivered keynote speeches. During the meeting, Mr. Andreas Pierotic introduced development of Chilean economy, main achievements in bilateral economic&trade cooperation, latest foreign investment policies and project information in Chilean clean energy and infrastructure construction. Mr. Boluda introduced comparative advantages and main features of economic development and legal framework in Chile and focused on the progress in the modification and adjustment of ¡°Foreign Investment Statute¡± (Decree Law 600). Nearly 40 representatives from 23 member enterprises and other associated companies including Xinxing Cathay International Group, Bank of China, Export-Import Bank of China, Nuctech Company Limited, China CAMC Engineering, Joyvio Group, China Shenhua Energy Company Limited, State Grid Corporation of China, Goldwinding and etc attended the meeting.





On May 26, 2015 of local time, Economic and Trade Seminar marking 45th anniversary of the establishment of China-Chile diplomatic relations and the 7th Annual Meeting of China-Chile Business Council was successfully held in Santiago. The meeting was hosted by Mr. He Wenbo, President of the Chinese section of CCBC and Mr.Francisco Silva, President of the Chilean section of CCBC. Chinese Premier Mr. Li Keqiang and Chilean President Madam Bachelet attended the opening ceremony and delivered keynote speeches. Mr. Li Keqiang expressed his hope that the business circles of both countries could seize opportunities and join efforts to forge the "iron and steel" of China-Chile economic cooperation and exchanges, so as to make greater contribution to China-Chile, China-Latin America economic and trade development. Madam Bachelet remarked that Chile is willing to work with China to launch the upgrading process of the bilateral free trade agreement, expand mutual investment and strengthen cooperation in infrastructure construction, energy and other areas and expand financial cooperation and promote the internationalization of RMB in Latin America, so as to jointly lift the bilateral relations to a new high.





On July 31, 2015, the Second Training Course for Chinese Companies Going Global was successfully held in Beijing. The theme of the course was ¡°Elaborations on Policies Concerning China South Korea FTA and China Australia FTA¡±. More than 20 member enterprises¡¯ representatives of CCBC attended the meeting.




On August 26, 2015, Mr. He Wenbo, President of the Chinese section of CCBC and China Minmetals Corporation met Chilean delegation led by former Chilean President Eduardo Frei. Mr.Francisco Silva, President of the Chilean section of CCBC£¬Mr.Jorge Heine, Chilean Ambassador to China and Mr. Anders Rebolledo, Vice Minister of Chilean Ministry of Trade also attended the meeting. Madam Zhou Ming, Executive Vice President and Secretary General of CCIIP, Mr. Jiao Jian, General Manager Assistant of China Minmetals Corporation and other associated personnel attended the meeting.






On August 27, 2015, ¡°Chile Trade&Investment Forum¡± was successfully held in Beijing Four Season Hotel. The forum was hosted by Chilean Embassy and supported by CCIIP. Mr. Eduardo Frei, former President of Chile, Mr. Jorge Heine, Chilean Ambassador to China, Mr. Anders Rebolledo, Vice Minister of Chilean Ministry attended the forum and made speeches on investment environment, policies & regulations and infrastructure construction. In response to the request from the Chilean Embassy, Chinese section of CCBC invited representatives from more than 30 member enterprises and other associated companies.



On November 27, 2015, the Third Training Course for Chinese Companies Going Global was successfully held by CCIIP in Beijing. The theme of the course was ¡°Financing Channels and Financial Products In Outbound Investment¡±. Representatives from more than 20 member enterprises of CCBC and other associated companies attended the meeting.
